Brita is a fitness, health, cooking, nature and animal lover! She grew up in Crescent Beach, BC enjoying multiple sporting activities and always being involved in movement. She played every sport from soccer to softball, fencing, skiing and snowboarding to horseback riding, horse vaulting and water skiing. Of all of these, she spent most of her youth training as a competitive gymnast.

Her passion for Pilates started when she went on a Pilates surfing retreat led by celebrity trainer Alisa Wyatt who was trained by Pilates legend, Romana Kryzanowska.  The retreat changed her life and she enrolled to become a Classical Method instructor at Pilates from the Centre in North Vancouver. This 950-hour teacher-training program, under the umbrella of “The Pilates Center” in Boulder, Colorado operates one of the most respected and comprehensive programs in the world. She enjoys helping her clients with their health and fitness goals so they can thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Brita also works as a Design Consultant for California Closets. Her expertise lies in space planning, organization and ergonomic design. She collaborates with clients to create beautiful, functional and efficient storage solutions. She looks forward to the opportunity to channel her energy and aesthetic insight into your next project.

Outside of work, you can find her exploring trails with her dog Koda, snowboarding, biking and cooking healthy meals! Healthy food, cooking and natural remedies are a huge passion of hers. In her spare time she studies everything from the musculoskeletal system to vitamins and herbal tinctures, natural make-up, essential oils, eating paleo, low carb and plant based food diets. There is such a powerful connection between the state of our health and the food we eat!
